For those of you "squeamish" (or, "squirmish", as Sarah Palin says) about bodily waste, skip this post, but here's an observation of the effects of low humidity and heat on dog poop: it dries in minutes to a hard black lump, making it very easy to pick up and dispose of from the back yard, where Rusty has free reign (or is it 'rein'?) day or night.
It's been 5% humidity, or less, for the last couple of weeks anyway, probably longer, or all the time, and the temperatures have been at the extreme high end of the range for this time of year, with no recorded precipitation for almost 6 months. Dries stuff out quickly!
At least I didn't take a picture and insert it here!
But here's your daily dose of "alien" memorabilia.

It's the mural on the side of the building that houses the local print and copy shop - they have a copy machine, and will print out stuff from my flash drive, as needed (for mere pennies a page). Note how cleverly their products are displayed within the ubiquitous alien theme.
